Bark Tanned Leather Tool Trug
If you have watched the Zed Outdoors video on how to make a bark tanned leather tool trug, and want to give it a go yourself-here is the complete list of tools you will need to make our tool trug. All items are available in our store.
- 1/2 hide natural veg tan 3-4mm
- OKA round awl no.2 or no.3
- George Barnsley clicker knife and blade
- OKA Beveller no.2 or no.3 for trimming corners of edges
- Wet/dry sandpaper for burnishing
- Burnishers- ebony or rosewood
- Oka Toko Cream for finishing edges
- 30mm half circle punch for strap ends
- 10 gauge Brass rivets for affixing handles
- 10 gauge rivet setting tool
- Wuta Maul or Oka Maul
- 5mm OKA Pricking irons
- 0.8mm Slam thread- lots of colours to choose from!
- OKA needles Medium or Large
- Stitching pony/clamps
- Also you will need: A cutting mat, a metal ruler (or set square preferably), a ball peen hammer for the handle rivets.
- Optional extra - OKA stamps for decoration
